On the slopes of the long mountain range that crosses Norway from north to south, you can find Mosjøen, a small town in north-central Norway. On the mountains in front of the city it is possible to admire a simply sensational milky way, as witnessed by this wonderful image. There are many areas in central Norway to observe the Milky Way, the planets and of course the northern lights during the months of the year where the hours of darkness exceed those of light (generally from November to March, but it is possible to admire it even in spring and early autumn). Hotel availability in Mosjøen is good and the city is well connected with other major cities in Norway, such as Trondheim and Bodø.
